Synopsis:
This cookbook is oriented towards getting children to eat healthy. Rather than nagging them to eat the foods good for them, Seined, who is Jerry Seinfeld wife, disguises the food through pureeing the items which the children are reluctant to eat. Such as pureeing butternut squash and mixing some into Mac&Cheese, for example.
Seinfeld book is broken into parts: What Parents need to know to get this done, the nutrition aspect of cooking and sample recipes. She also has enlisted the help of Joy Bauer, a nutritionist.

Why do I want to read this book: Erica who is a health educator indicated that this is a book which can help with picky eaters, which I am.
What do I think I will get out of it? An avenue to enjoy foods which is currently outside of my eating field.
Thoughts:
In looking at the background for this book, I saw that both Jessica and Jerry Seinfield were sued for this book. Jessica because another author felt she stoled the idea behind this book from her; Jerry because that same author felt she was slandered by him. Both cases were dismissed.
I do not like the premise for this book. At its best, you are getting children to like foods in a way which they will accept. At worst you are teaching children not to trust their parents. It seems like Sienfield is pretty open with her children about what she is doing.
If you have a food which you do not like and mix it in with food which they do like in a way which they will not notice, that is what she is doing. Such as if a child does not like butternut squash, but you pureed it and mix it in with food with the same color, lets say, Mac&Cheese, the person will learn to like butternut squash.
I am a picky eater and my health educator suggested this book.

Evaluation:
I am a picky eater and my health educator suggested this book as an avenue to get me to eat more healthy things. The concept I think is good. The idea is to mix in foods which a person does not like with foods which they do like. The problem I see is that if this is done deceptively, then it becomes a trust issue. On the other hand, if there is agreement about the direction, then all can work towards the appropriate goals. I have not tried it yet, so I cannot determine the results.
