Thoughts:
If you want to get better and better at photography - you've got to stand in front of better things. So true in many ways.
Evaluation:
You can go to Grand Teton as a rank amateur photographer and still get some pretty good shots. Clow gives you hints on where to take those magnificent shots as well as when to do it. Not saying that us rank amateurs will become Ansel Adams from this book, but it does give us an idea of where these places are to get that extra-ordinary shot which will amaze your friends.
Even if you do not take any pictures, reading this book is worth it just to gain an understanding of where you can get a good perspective on the great sights in Grand Teton. Also, this is not a book on photography, but more on place. Clow does not try to make us great photographers, but to allow us the opportunity to have some pretty good photographs. So if you are going to Grand Teton, I would recommend this book to help you out, even if it is just to see the park better.
